Our client, a leading institution of academic excellence in Gloucestershire, is looking for a well-rounded Subject Leader to develop the Engineering Technologies Subject Community at their state-of-the-art facility. Your expertise may be required across multiple sites in Gloucestershire and lecturers must be flexible on location to accommodate the needs of the institution. This role would suit a PhD qualified individual who is able to demonstrate a successful track record as an Academic Subject Leader.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing new academic programmes in areas such as Industry 4.0, Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Mechatronics, Industrial Control, and Engineering Management across undergraduate and graduate programmes. You will be able to demonstrate strong knowledge of the field of engineering to compliment your leadership credentials that will ultimately contribute to your success as the leader of a talented group of academics. As the Academic Subject Leader, you will be required to engage in educational management, income generating activities, with full responsibility for staff development, course leadership, external relations, and business development strategies. 

To be considered for this role, candidates must hold a PhD in a relevant engineering discipline and a proven research track record in an area related to engineering. Experience of teaching excellence in Higher Education is essential for anyone applying for this role. You will be a passionate engineering course leader who is knowledgeable of working on funded and grant aided projects, providing strategic sector direction to the development of low carbon/renewables and STEM learning pathways.
