The Compliance Manager is a new role within this established and highly regarded law firm and would suit someone who has previous Compliance or Regulatory experience. You may already work in a compliance team and are looking for a step-up – more responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to work with the partner community to shape the compliance strategy.
The Compliance Manager will manage the day-to-day compliance activities and develop processes and procedures with the support of the relevant partners as well as be instrumental in suggesting and implementing improvements along the way.
Previous experience in a law firm in the compliance team is required for this role as you will need to immerse yourself in the SRA standards, Regulations, AML and data protection laws.
You will be the first point of contact for issues or queries from within the firm and the Partner group so excellent communication skills and an understanding of the risks and compliance issues are imperative to this role.
You will also be able to document processes, roll out training to ensure compliance standards are maintained and investigate any breaches that may occur.
The Compliance Manager will require excellent communication skills and the ability to work with people at all levels including third parties
