Domestic Abuse Support Worker

Hooray are proud to be supporting a growing local charity to assist in the recruitment for Domestic Abuse Support Workers across Hereford. Due to an increase in the capacity of adults affected by domestic abuse with complex needs we are looking for Domestic Abuse Support Workers to join my client on a permanent basis.
As a Domestic Abuse Support Worker, you will develop and deliver individual support to service users living temporarily in refuge and in safe temporary, satellite accommodation who have mental health and/or problematic substance use. You will work effectively in partnership with other agencies in securing a cohesive package of co-ordinated support and ensure the accommodation is sufficient to meet the clients’ individual needs.
To be successful as a Domestic Abuse Support Worker you will have at least 3 years’ experience of supporting vulnerable people and at least 10 months experience of supporting individuals with complex needs, in particular mental health and/or substance misuse. It is also essential to hold a full UK driving licence and have daily access to a vehicle.
My client is offering an annual salary of £25,000 based on a 37-hour working week.
