In addition to the standard administrative and secretarial duties you will also be involved in key paralegal activities such as file opening and closing of cases, regularly updating the clients by phone and email as well as the preparation of standard documentation and managing caseloads.
Ideally you will have audio typing skills and will be able to produce letters and documents as well as court forms.
Excellent communication skills are essential – you will be in regular communication with third parties as well as internal stakeholders such as other solicitors, clients and accounts departments regarding payments and receipts relating to client matters and producing invoices.
Finally experience of working with case management software would be beneficial
