Are you SENCO qualified, or have the desire to work towards a SENCO qualification? Would you like to work for an innovative provider of education and care? Can you be flexible and adaptable in your approach to teaching?

Based in Bristol, our client is an innovative provider of education and support for children and young adults with special educational needs, and they are looking for an SENCO experienced teacher to join their team on a permanent basis

As a SENCO, your key duties will include but are not limited to:
• Identifying effective teaching approaches to students
• Monitoring teaching and learning activities to meet the needs to the SEN students
• Liaise with other educational providers to ensure continuity of support
• Keep parents informed about students progress through meetings and parents evenings
• Provide training opportunities to teaching assistants and teachers to learn about SEN
• Staying up to date with developments in SEN, including research, law changes etc.
• Attend appropriate training and CPD where required
To be successful in this role, you will need to be SENCO qualified, or have the desire to acquire these qualifications. In addition you will need the relevant knowledge and experience of caring for students with special educational needs, including management of challenging behaviour. You will need to be a positive and passionate individual who is committed to the role and putting the needs of the child first.

My client is offering a salary between £25,000 and £36,500. Please note that this is a full time role during term time.
