Hooray are recruiting exclusively on behalf of a local charity for a Trainee Maintenance Supervisor vacancy on a permanent basis. My client is an organisation founded on Christian values and has grown significantly in recent years – from having one supported housing projects of 50 beds in 2014 to more than 250 beds today. The organisation also provides community sports activities at a dedicated sports centre in Cheltenham.

The Trainee Maintenance Supervisor is a newly formed role in a busy team often working to a number of tight deadlines. It is an opportunity for a highly motivated person to support the Head of Property to ensure the Charity’s buildings, physical spaces, equipment, vehicles and other property owned or employed by the organisation are maintained to a high quality.
You will assist the Head of Property to ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations in all areas relating to the physical work environment.

To be successful in this role, you will be an excellent team member, organised, able to meet deadlines, have excellent communication, both written and oral as well as a willingness to learn how to manage a Property Team and doing this with a hands-on approach.

My client is offering an excellent salary of £23,200 per annum, along with the opportunity to study and complete a recognised trade qualification. The organisation provides a contributory pension, 20 days holiday (increasing after 2 years with an additional extra day of holiday, up to a maximum of an additional 5 days) and up to 10 days sick pay per annum. The organisation also offers non-contractual benefits such as life assurance, health plan (such as money off dentistry and opticians) cycle to work scheme and free use of the organisation’s sports facilities.
