Winners of SGGBA 2022 gather on stage to take the applause at the University of Gloucestershire Business School on the SoGlos website.
The 2022 SoGlos award winners were announced on Thursday 20th of October 2022. More than 300 guests assembled for the invitation-only evening at the University of Gloucestershire Business School’s Oxstalls campus in Gloucester for the awards ceremony and networking event. All coming together to celebrate the successes of Gloucestershire’s best businesses.
A special mention to the co-headline sponsors Hazlewoods and Willans LLP solicitors, without whom the evening would not have been made possible. Also, a further mention and thanks to BBC presenter and reporter Steve Knibbs for hosting the awards.
Ryan Hancock, a director in Hazlewoods’ corporate services team, said: “The SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards has provided a great opportunity for businesses to come together and celebrate their successes.
In what is looking like further challenging times for us all ahead, it is important to remember that we have a strong and supportive business community in Gloucestershire that is worth celebrating.”
Team Hooray outside Hooray HQ (some members were absent but there in spirit).
Hooray is a fresh, consultative recruitment agency with a social purpose, dedicated to putting integrity above profits. The nominations come 5 years after Hooray’s inception, and despite the trials and tribulations of COVID-19, they have come through the other side stronger and are still growing. Despite the company consisting of four people this time two years ago, Hooray now has 19 employees, all dedicated to providing thoroughly outstanding service to both clients and candidates.
Upon winning the award for Small Business Of The Year Hooray’s directors are quoted saying:
‘I am delighted. We are so grateful to win this. It is brilliant.’ – Richard Arthur, founder of Cheltenham-headquartered Hooray.
Ian Moriarty, operations director, said: ‘This is a testament to our team. They work so hard to make us what we are. This is for them.’
“Just to have made the shortlist from 382 entries was an achievement in itself! I’m so proud to be part of a company that has been a finalist for 3 prestigious awards this year, two of which recognise our commitment to corporate social responsibility and small business of the year – which is the one we won. A massive congratulations again to everyone that won and also well done to all of the finalists who should be so proud of their achievements.” – Marketing Executive, Prudence Bond
